RED BANK, N.J., Jan. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Zebu Forno, the European-style bakery and cafe, has expanded its menu with the additions of Focaccia Pizza and French Toast at all locations.
Available in three sizes and with an array of toppings, Zebu''s Focaccia Pizza features San Marzano tomato sauce and a bread crust that is infused with rosemary and hand-selected extra virgin olive oils drawn from the first cold press. The crust is thick, but light and airy. Excluding special toppings, prices are $6.50 for a small, $10.95 medium, and $13.95 for a large.
Zebu''s new French Toast is available in two varieties of bread: the Pana di Casa (house white) or Seven Grain. Selling for $6.95, the French Toast is served with a fresh fruit cup and maple syrup.
"Both new menu items were very favorably received by our guests during testing at our Red Bank location," said Ryan Timmons, general manager of Zebu Forno Franchise LLC. "They will now become a regular feature on our menus in Red Bank, Holmdel and all future locations, including one scheduled to open soon in Hoboken."
These new items join Zebu Forno''s menu of fresh-baked breads, muffins, bagels, and pastries; breakfast sandwiches; omelets; homemade soups; Panini sandwiches, wraps and other hot and cold sandwiches served on home-baked breads; handmade thin-crust pizzas in select locations; fresh salads; quiche; gelato; fresh fruit cups; espresso drinks; a variety of coffees and teas; and a soft drink selection that includes Boylan''s soda on tap. All menu items are available for takeout, augmented by a selection of fresh-baked goods, Zebu travel mugs and other branded items merchandised throughout the stores.
Open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and late-night snacks, the chain''s locations are designed to convey a sense of a ''town gathering place'' -- a relaxed setting where people of all ages can meet and sit for hours without feeling pressured. Features include free Wi-Fi, flat screen TVs, satellite music, brick walls, wood plank flooring, original murals celebrating great artists of the past, and seating at conventional tables, stool-height tables and in groupings of Indonesian roll back easy chairs.
Zebu''s flagship company-owned location opened in 2001 on Broad Street in downtown Red Bank, N.J. Earlier this year, the company launched its franchise program with the opening of a 3,000-square-foot location in The Commons at Holmdel, a major lifestyle center in northern Monmouth County. The chain''s third restaurant is scheduled to debut at Hoboken''s Marineview Plaza in the first quarter of 2008, as the company advances on its plan to have 15 to 20 franchised locations in New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania markets over the next five years.
